Amanda Brugel

Tessa Tessa Amanda AmandaPointe Claire is a sleepy neighborhood on the island of Montreal that is known as the West Island. The West Island, which is often referred to as a distinct "island" west of Montreal for those unfamiliar with it comprises everything that is west of Lachine. Amanda Brugel was born there and that's the truth. She only visited for a few days. Brugel had a childhood in Courtice, outside Oshawa, Ontario. Her early ambition was to be a dancer, however, her growth spurt led to that she outgrew the dancers she was with. According to an article in The Toronto Star, she confessed, "In heels I am 6 foot 1 inch." After I outgrew my male partners and stopped dancing, I quit. Numerous former dancers choose to become actors. In the case of Brugel her encouragement came from an acting teacher in high school. She was encouraged to take part in her school's production. Following a trial, she became the lead actress on the show Anne of Green Gables. It was her turn to be awarded a Fine Arts Talent scholarship at York University, where she completed her studies in Theatre and graduated with the Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts in 2000.
